Julie Cons – GPolo Feb AofM

Girls’ Water Polo:   Nerissa Julie Cons  12th Grader Current GPA:  3.71 Varsity

“Two years ago we awarded Julie Cons the Athlete of the Month for filling in a huge gap on our team, this year we award Julie Cons AofM for being the defensive center that our team now revolves around.  As our varsity goalie for the last 3 years Julie has kept us in more games than I can remember and averages just under 10 saves a game.  This is a huge advantage for our team, we can now shift the type of defense and counter attack offense we play because the entire team trusts that Julie will block nearly anything that is thrown at her from outside the 3 meter mark.  In the pool and off the deck Julie is an amazing young woman who is always looking for ways to help her teammates and be part of the bigger picture, her selfless nature has truly been a blessing to our program.  When Julie puts her goalie cap on the ring for the last time at the end of this season we will be losing one of the best goalies our program has ever seen.  It is for this reason that Coach Lee and I name Julie Cons our February, and final, Girls’ Water Polo Athlete of the Month.”  Coach Morris
